As a senior, Sonnenberg helped lead Marquette High to the State Catholic Championship and was the scoring and rebounding leader in the tournament.

His coach was former Marquette cager John Glaser.

He also lettered in baseball and track.

As a great outside shooter, Sonnenberg averaged 13.3 points per game.

Tom went on to work as the National Sales Manager for WITI Fox 6 Television, in Milwaukee.

His father, Ray Sonnenberg, was a football standout at Marquette in the mid-1930's.
