Led Marquette in scoring during the 1948-49 season (12.7 ppg) and also served as team captain that year.
Professional Career
In 1950, McCabe began to play for the Caterpillar basketball team in Peoria. He would play for a total of threes years as one of the dominant players of the Caterpillar AAU team.
Accolades
- Was a member of the 1952 United States Olympic Basketball Team that defeated the Russian team to win the gold medal in Helsinki, Finland. He played in 7 of the 8 matches. Wikipedia Entry
