 Marquette struggled during Powell's four-year career, but he excelled individually.  He led the team in scoring during the [[1988|1988-89]] season and finished ninth in scoring all-time at Marquette, with 1,571 points.  As a four-year starter, he led Marquette in rebounding for four consecutive seasons, finishing seventh all-time with 765 boards.

 Trevor started 22 games and averaged 11.9 points per game during his freshman campaign, scoring a season-high 27 points against [[Canisius]] and pulling down 17 rebounds against [[Virginia Tech]].  Powell led the team in rebounding, field goal percentage and blocked shots and scored in double figures in 10 of the final 14 games.
