Cords retires...
« on: October 24, 2006, 02:29:51 PM »
He's done a great job with the athletic program over the last ten years or so with the hiring of Coach Crean and the admission to the Big East.

Does anybody know anything about the interim AD Steve Cottingham??  I thought they'd look to promote Jack Harbaugh??  I'll admit I was hoping they'd bring him in and that he'd return MU to the glory days of Golden Avalanche football.  I know people say that it will never happen and seeing how big our Hoops program is, who knows if they AD department would allow it.  It'd be nice to have a football team in Big East play and it's been shown that the Big East can compete for BCS bids.  If ND & Boston College can field teams, why not us??

Who's with me??

thank you bill cords!
Bill is riding off into the sunset at the perfect time.....TC was extended, so was Terri Mitchell, soccer was addressed and MU has a solid athletic infrastructure.  I for one am glad that Jack didnt get the nod -- he's better in his current role.  Hopefully MU goes for a compelling outside her--this is a very good job, though Bill is a tough act to follow.

if u guys missed it, check out Chicos' awesome article on Cords at the blog.

That's a great blog entry - some good background information.  Things that us mere mortals probably wouldn't know otherwise.

BTW...holy cow...is that a Red, White and Blue avatar!  Sweet!
