I remember Trend Blackledge being able to get up, even if he wasn't great at much else.

And for a deep cut...Zack McCall could absolutely explode off the floor.  Also, couldn't do much else.

I'm pretty sure every basket he scored was on Sportscenter top 10. They were all Ally oops or put back slams

He was a crowd favorite (at least with my friends) when I was in school cuz the only time he got in was when the game was over and you knew a thunder dunk was coming
Bring back FFP!!!

McCall was a hell of an athlete. He had signed to Syracuse to play running back for them before deciding to go to prep school to play basketball and was a top 100 player when KO signed him. Homer nicknamed him "Turbo." Unfortunately for Zack, he got popped for weed at the 1996 tourney (maybe that's why he was 2/2 from three in that nightmare game against Arkansas), was suspended a year, then got popped again by MU and dismissed.

How quaint.

Terrible! We need those 4 bangers you ordered for the '25-'26 team. We "must must must" get them.

Are you JWags?  And I never wrote we need "four bangers".  This is preposterous.  What is it 1975?  I assume I wrote we need four ballers.

Tony Smith. was not fast but he had the best handle of any point guard at Marquette.....Some may say Sam Worthen....But Sam was a better passer and did not have to dribble as much.....Tony Smith was on a bad team and literally was triple teamed most of the time and still delivered many 30 and 40 point games....One of the best development players ever at Marquette from afterthought college add-on from Milwaukee to NBA player.....

PS....The was a reason why Rivers was called DOC...From Junior year in HS to after his freshman/sophomore year in college....Hands down the best.....

Burton was the most violent dunker....

DJ was a spectacular dunker because of his 5'10" frame....Kind of a Spud Webb look....
