They did, but we did not handle their physicality well.  When someone tries to bully me I always have 7-10 auxiliary options and none of them are going to toe with them.

What's so disappointing is how did Shaka think this team would be good enough to win anything meaningful. The icing on the cake is him being too stubborn to at least try and get a serviceable big man in the portal who could rebound and play interior defense.

Watching their weaknesses get exploited by every good team over the last two months has been brutal.

After leading 24-9 7 minutes in Marquette stopped pushing the pace, started fiddling with the ball and 17 turnovers. Kevin ONeil beat Pitino coached Kentucky with Tony Miller pushing the pace all game.

Seven of of St. Johns best players are portal transfers. We have none, though we have huge weaknesses at point guard and beef in the paint. Shaka might need to expand his thinking if we're going to compete with the big boys.

That was an epically awful performance. 1 for 7 from 3 and 6 turnovers, most were unforced. He was a complete liability.
