Ugly jerseys, ugly game.  Never wear these again.

Keep them. The players designed them. Tying wins and losses to jerseys is completely dumb.

Unis are are just ugly. Trash em. Win or lose.

Weird they said they were like a "Miami Vice" theme. Does Jimmy still hate Marquette? Saw on Instagram he had a hand in some new jerseys for Tyler Junior College, though I didn't look much into it.

They were the best version of black they've put out.

Those elements with a navy base and make the camo a mix of navy, baby blue and gold. Those would pop.

Did he ever show any disdain for Marquette? Can't remember what but I'm fairly certain I've seen some form of Marquette appreciation by him sometime within the last two years.

Wasn't.

The jerseys were a the best reflection of our color palette with a different base color.  They were great and way better than the blacks or greys from the past.

Great job seniors in pulling in some cool elements from our history.

I agree with this analysis.  Tonight's jersey's were awesome.  Well done by the 2024-2025 team.

Do people forget that Dwyane Wade played for Miami?

For a minute I thought one of the dentists posted this...

Those jerseys were awesome.

If they were indeed player designed or inspired, the athletes did better than the design folks that do the regular jerseys, and Marquette has very good jerseys.

Impressive work imo

Right.  The social media posts showed Wade specifically in the Miamai vice jersey.

Unless you provide evidence, I'm confident you are misremembering. Jimmy has definitely not shown Marquette appreciation for quite a few years. There's been nothing since well before the Bucks/Heat playoff series 2 years ago.

I don't really care about jerseys, but tonight's design seemed amateurish .. now I understand why.

Maybe I'm misremembering or mistaking him for someone else. Has he ever actually showed any dislike for Marquette though, or is he simply apathetic?

NCMUFan

I would say, wear them any first half, then change at halftime.

There are rumors that he was unhappy when Shaka was recruiting Jae to come to the Bucks and has basically ignored all outreach since that point.

I remember after a Bucks game he said something to the effect of "Let's get the F out of Milwaukee." Also, he's not been back to any games that I can recall despite being in town for some big ones. I want to say Cain was here for a NMD when the Heat were in town, but Jimmy was spotted in the Third Ward.

My recollection is that Jimmy was being Jimmy (the diva/high maintenance side of Jimmy), and was salty over being seated at a rear table during the MU Hall of Fame induction ceremony that he was part of.  I also imagine if he and Buzz are still close, Buzz probably got in his ear about promoting MU.

marqfan22

Anyone know what the retro gold jerseys aren't available with player names?

I don't think he's really been sporting Texas A&M shorts either.

TallTitan34

While I don't think Jimmy has said anything negative about MU publicly, he certainly isn't as supportive as he once was.  He would frequently wear MU shoes in NBA games and wear his MU jersey on late night talk shows and in NBA postgames.

I think it's been years since he's done any of that.

If anyone is curious like I was, the NCAA uniform rules can be found on page 28-30 of the PDF below.

https://www.ncaapublications.com/productdownloads/BK25.pdf

Section 22, Article 5 seems to explain why the bumblebees are illegal, while the horizontal striping on the Wojo era jerseys was acceptable (color of stripes was within 15% of jersey color).

Section 22, Article 10 makes the untucked jerseys illegal.
