Big time early December game. Counting on Jay Bee to represent MU and bring home a win.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Quote"Auburn and Dayton really try to pressure and get after the basketball," Otzelberger said Tuesday. "Marquette is really good at that – one of the best in the country – at pressuring the ball and disrupting offenses and turning them into points.

"I think playing against that pressure and being tough with the ball will help. ...Having those experiences usually makes you better."

Checks KenPom:

Auburn TO% forced: 16.0% (254th)
Dayton TO% forced: 17.4% (207th)
Marquette TO% forced: 25.2% (3rd)

Honey,  Auburn and Daytons defenses did not prepare you for our defense

Yes, also Auburn & Dayton's offenses took dumps all over Iowa St on high efg% and reasonably modest (sub-17%) to rates.

Win to's, make a few shots and onto uw-madison extension.

It ain't gonna be a white out tonight, psychlones.
REJOICE! Eric Dixon has been suspended!!

I also don't understand how they are lauding Iowa State's scheduling relative to team strength.  Maui would have been on the books years out; this game is part of the challenge, so they didn't really have a say in who they were facing, right?

This article is a good reminder that we are lucky to have Ben Steele as our beat reporter.

One of the silly things about focusing too much on ratings in the voted polls.

They're psyching up the fans for a court storming if the Cyclones can pull the upset.

Didn't think about it that way, but I believe you may be right. I took a peek at ISU's discussion forum and someone on there mentioned this:

*from the game notes*

History will be made Wednesday night, as No. 6 Iowa State hosts No. 5 Marquette in the Big 12/BIG EAST Battle at Hilton Coliseum.

It will be the 32nd Top 15 game in program history and the 13th in Hilton Coliseum, but will be the first to feature the Cyclones against a non-conference opponent.

THat's weird, they should invite whoever is number 6 to come in and get womped every year in non-con, its worked out well for us. Baylor, Purdue, presumably others...

The Hippie Satan of Hyperbole

Hey, we are "court storm worthy!"

We can add that to Shaka's accomplishments.

Loses a little something when the team storming is favored.

#UnleashSean

a 6 vs 5 court storm would be wild

That'd 4 notches below the most ridiculous court storm possible.
