I've always claimed multiple message boards is good for the MU community.  Dodds disagrees with me, but glad everyone has options.

I realize Herm has passed on, but he used to post a link to the NET team sheets that broke down every team's schedule, what the tiers were for each quad, etc. etc.  By chance while his estate was being settled, di anyone come across that link or perhaps know how to access it?

I know I should not get worked up over this and it will probably take care of itself over time, but can someone explain to me like I'm a 4th grader why teams like Illinois and Michigan continue to have a better NET ranking than Marquette?

Marquette has more Q1 and Q2 wins and seemingly a better resume overall. I am just not understanding what I'm missing.

Efficiency. Illinois has an average margin of victory of 42 in their Q4 games. MU's average is 29. Illinois' best win is a 32 point Q1A road win.  MU's is an 18 point Q1A home win. As more data is included in the formula's, each individual data point becomes a smaller margin.  Unless they continue to have Q1 wins with huge margins, the gap will close/not exist.

Also, continue to keep in mind that NET is just a piece of the puzzle.  Bracketmatrix has MU as the 2nd 2 seed and Illinois as the top 3.  Michigan is down at a 5.

This was in the very early years of scoop (2007-2008ish) before video highlights were everywhere.

I had a box that allowed me to record games off of cable on my computer.  After the game I would chop up highlights and post them to scoop.
