2024-25 Big East Poll Rankings, NET Rankings and Team Sheets

Its early.... but these rankings are pretty dire for the Big East. We are the only Q1/Q1 game in the BEast (Q1 whether you play us at home or on the road). At this point,  we will only get 4 Q1 games in conference play (at UConn/SJU/BUT/DPL?!?!). We can only afford like 4 losses total (including remaining noncon) if we want a 1 seed.

I knew the NET would be bad, but my jaw still dropped when I saw those crappy numbers for our BE brethren. It's a wake-up call for scoopers who blew off the losses in OOC.

If things hold (they won't but they won't move as much as we think), we will play more Q1 games in our 11 non con games than we will in our 20 congruence games.

Last season we played 15 Q1 games (9 Q1A, 6 Q1B) in the regular season. Were currently on pace for 9 Q1 games (3 Q1A, 6 Q1B).

To borrow from Herman, lots of teams screwed the Big East this year.

I really question the quality of the coaching in this conference right now. Neptune, English and Holloway look like duds and Miller hasn't been great.

I think UConn and Creighton will rebound fine and Butler will be better than I thought. Probably St. John's too, but we will see - not sure Pitino still has it.

Holtmann has done well but has played absolutely no one. Cooley is going to need awhile to turn Georgetown around - if he can even do it.

Too many question marks right now. It's pretty bleak at this point.

Who knows if they will drop or not but George Mason (79) and Central Michigan (113) were great teams to schedule in that challenge. Stony Brook (342) was a real dud. Overall, great job with that MTE.

Stony Brook no matter cause we destroyed them. Cooked the metrics just fine.

Pulling away from GM was huge too.

CMU having a good net is helping the fact we let that game get close
