In their defense, he didn't know how to read so more schooling was a decent option

I really think he's going to miss playing for Marquette. There is no greater honor than playing for your school...especially back when you had to be an amateur.

TK on ESPN but hasnt played in the first half, bummer. Was hoping to see him

Also for a preaseason game its an extremely high level basketball game between two top teams. Would be fun to see how he looks in a game at this pace and skill level

Very disappointed.  It looks like he's the 11th/12th man.

He wont play much this year unless there is an injury...which obviously isn't out of the question.

Really think Oso has a chance to play double digit meaningful minutes per game though.

I don't understand why Payne is ahead of him.  He's such a streaky and one dimensional player.  He can got hot but is basically a gunner.  TyKo will get to learn behind Brunson but I thought he would get some mins.

It's a long season. He could emerge as it wears on as well. He has a higher upside than Cam Payne IMO.

That article is from awhile ago. He has played rookies while at the Knicks. Quickley, Toppin and Grimes all got double digit minutes their first year.

The DNP Coaches Decision was not optimal. However, it was positive that TyKo got  some decent opportunities and played well the first two games. My guess is he bounces up and down from G League year one. Get some experience and eventually work his way onto the second team. Being a pass first guard helps his cause.

Sounded like kolek was doing pretty well through games 1 and 2.

Is it common practice for teams to ramp up to their starters later in the preseason and bench players disappear?

Depends on the coach. Depends on the situation.

The best way to determine how much TK will play in the regular season is to wait and find out.
