Keep watching the path. Our roof was damaged from Helene. Hoping are spared the heaviest winds.

Storm Surge is an issue. Our dunes were just rebuilt. They survived Helene but not sure how well they do on Milton

Pretty much resigned to the fact that our business interests will have some total losses.

Roof was re-exposed . Will have re patch up. Hopefully we can get repair done as previously scheduled .

Dunes survived which was a big relief. If we can get through season with no more storms , the sea oats will have a chance to grow by next year start of hurricane season.

Business interests were hit as expected .  Took care of our employees and they wre eager to rebuild.

What's so discouraging reading accounts like that is that those people threatening meteorologists (!) have the same vote I do....
I just saw Inherit the Wind at the Goodman last night, it's based on the Scopes trial - so much of the dialogue still rings true today....

Oh, I didn't mean to suggest that Lenny believes only the people calling out the meteorologist-threatening hurricane deniers are dimwits. The problem is Lenny believes calling out those people is somehow bad or "dimwitted" at all.
It's never bad or dimwitted to call these people what they are - "dumb and dangerous." They are a scourge. They are the people who bring guns to pizza shops and storm the Capitol because they believe inane conspiracy theories peddled for political gain.
And if/when such dangerous stupidity comes from the left, Lenny would have no problem calling it what it is.
