Was just gonna comment the same, JB.  Absolutely love that these guys are not only aware of who else we're after, but as excited about bringing them on as we are.
Under a lesser staff and worse culture, players as talented as Stevens and James would maybe shy away from bringing in other top-tier guys for the sake of PT (more Stevens here).  But both Nigel and Adrien made mention of recruiting Cam Ward immediately.  Beyond lucky to have Shaka and crew.

Pretty amazing culture for sure! Ward would make this a surreal class. Shooters (Militec and Phillips, but Nigel and Adrien have a nice jumper too), two strong ball handlers (Stevens and Nigel), and some "dawgs" on defense (as shaka puts it). Adrien Stevens is one of those guys that would be on Nova and drive us absolutely nuts. Plays hard, good size, some nice finesse, does the little stuff that goes into winning. This is a really big get.

Hopefully there are commits--plural!
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

There is only one spot remaining. Are they on anyone outside of Ward at this point?

Pretty sure it is Ward or bust. But I am only using deductive reasoning and have zero sources outside of a magic eight ball.

Unless there is some 2026 that is willing to reclassify like Phillips that we haven't put sleuthed out yet.

I love your forecast dgies! How many years ago was it when you started a thread asking scoopers what they thought our chances of winning another natty were? I remember the gist of the responses, and to put it mildly, it was not optimistic.

What a solid foundation Shaka has built. DAMN!

As I have told a couple of non-Marquette friends:

WE ARE MARQUETTE!!!! Get used to hearing that ... an awful lot at tournament time!!!!!!!!!

Usually most teams that recruit 4 or 5 players is  when the cupboard is bare, still have 10 kids coming back, wow. I do not know what Shaka is selling, but whatever it is, it's working.  Not playing the portal and working on relationships is working for sure.  If they get Ward, they will have amazing amount of talent.
Practice will be very competitive.  Keeping everybody happy will be interesting

I think the 15 scholarship bump has been gigantic in that regard.  Lot of darts you can throw.
And taking projects for redshirt like Hamilton in '23, probably Clark in '24, probably Phillips in '25: he's been doing a great job of balancing these classes while staying old and experienced IMO.

Everyone is the biggest, strongest, best ball-handling kid you defended in high school.

MU will be competitive for the foreseeable future.

Probably will start winning against St Thomas.

Looks like guarding him, the opponents will break a number of ankles.
Nice step back jumper and speed.

In that video he hits several midrange jump shots. He'll have to clean that up or Scoop will be relentless in its criticism.

I think he'll be more worried about Shaka and Nevada being relentless in their criticism given that we only took a single long 2 all of last season.

Nah.   Some will be happy he is not listening to the coaches and someone is finally doing  what they (certain scoopers) have wanted all along.

Until the final four when the defenses are so good you have to score from all three levels to have a chance. Kidding but not kidding.

tower912

First world problem.   Getting to final fours but not having enough mid range jumpers to win it all.
