Was going with Stevie, but too many defensive lapses. Oso.

100% Stevie. Only guy who was playing basketball for the entire game.

And I hate Stevie.

The defense. Good contributions from the freshmen as well. Length matters

Tyler forfeited SOTG at the foul line.

Tyler forfeited SOTG at the foul line.

3 straight missed free throws in clutch time.

Absolutely.

Gotta go with Stevie.  His back to back buckets going into the half were huge, and he was very disruptive defensively..despite a couple of lapses.

12 points on 6 of 8 shooting, 6 rebounds and 3 steals.  Stud.

Like Stevie.   He had some D lapses which for him is odd.   But our starters were tired.  They played a lot.   Jop had lapses, we stepped out of bounds, threw the ball out of bounds a few times etc.

I’m good with Stevie!

Stevie Mitchell

Not perfect but he kept us in the game & then build the lead ... which they all but gave away.

Stevie despite some lapses at the end - 2 huge buckets at the end of the first half to keep us in the game and then he was the key to getting the lead.

Stevie for his hustle with a big assist from Zaide who had some quality minutes in this game with 2 huge hoops.

Ill go with Mitchell.

But spurt of the game was Lowery. He came in, had an offensive dunk rebound, caused a turnover on next possession and then made a crucial three pointer, believe putting MU up double digits.

Zaide needs to get more minutes, especially while Chase is out.

There have been a couple of recent games where talk was all about not appreciating Kolek enough because others were being nominated for SoG.

Same is probably true about Oso.

Hardly any nominations so far for a guy who had 17 points (on 8/10 shooting), 5 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals and only 1 TO ... and whose dominance of Soriano led to Pitino having to bench his best player for long stretches.

Did any Marquette player, from beginning to end, really have a more positive influence on this game, offensively and defensively, than Oso did?

Totally fair and great point regarding shutting down Soriano.  Happens to both him and Tyler in these threads.  I voted for Tyler but Stevie and Oso just as easily deserve it.
