The Spirit Shop could sell taxidermic ones for Marquette fans to wear like the Packers' Cheeseheads.

The vast majority of Golden Eagle deaths are because of humans.  And there are roughly 130K left.

That’s enough that Marquette could sponsor a giveaway. Imagine walking into Fiserv and there’s a Golden Eagle hat sitting on each seat.

The sweater vests might throw them onto the court.

Good point. How about if Marquette's engineering students create a drone/golden eagle with a carcass that soars through the Fiserv and that could be directed to dive at opposing coaches? We saw Cooley's reaction to a little bat at the Bradley Center. Imagine Hurley running for cover as the eagle comes within an inch of his noggin. The eagle could also fly right in front of the post just as opponents release the ball on FT attempts. I think we would get called for a T if the eagle flew over the court, but maybe it could buzz the opponent's bench.

Edit: He needs a name. Jacques? Spike?

Could put the mascot of our opponent in its talons too.

Otters suck.

River Otters are vastly different than Sea Otters.  This was extremely unfortunate.

Like other animals that attack humans-bears, river otters, mountain lions, and alligators, they should be "taken out". Regardless of the reasons for the attacks-being "provoked" like Muggsy immediately suggested after an alligator chomped a woman in half, or idiots who try to get in close for a photo of those oh-so-cute cubs, the animals that attack are now at risk of being repeat offenders. I still cannot believe that Muggsy was still questioning why that gator had to be put down. I mean, is there an alligator behavioral rehabilitation center somewhere? Jeezus! The same guy continued to float his theory repeatedly that orcas were attacking sailboats to send us a message, even though experts who actually know something about the orcas' behavior came up with theories actually based on knowledge. Imagine that!

So exactly what is unfortunate? I poised that question to Muggsy regarding the mountain lion attack on the young boy and asked him, if saying both the attack on the boy and the killing of the lion were unfortunate, which one was more unfortunate. He never answered.

;D Trump has always loved poosies. Had to spell it differently due to electronic censoring (surprise!). It changed what I spelled out to "hairy wet cats" in preview.

Is it bad when a presidential ticket gins up a baseless, racist rumor? Is that bad? When the Vice-Presidential candidate is told the rumor is false, and he tells his followers to keep repeating it anyway, is that bad?

And when the Presidential candidate does just that, keeps repeating the racist lie despite being informed its false, is that bad? And when that inspires their followers to call in a terroristic bomb threat to an elementary school, is that bad?

Certainly this isn't enough to disqualify them from even running, is it? 'Cause, you know, who can even say if this is bad or not?

If you think for one second that I am comparing the USA to China you have bumped your hard.

Not as bad as a presidential ticket lying about how a young child was killed in the same community, even though the father of that child has asked repeatedly for them to stop lying.

Is it bad when the baseless, racist rumors you amplify have real-world consequences?

Two Springfield City School District elementary schools were evacuated and a middle school was closed Friday morning after threats against the buildings were made, according to school officials.

Friday marks the second day in a row that Springfield public school students were evacuated after the city gained national attention for unfounded right-wing rumors about the community's Haitian immigrant population.
On Thursday, Springfield City Hall and Fulton Elementary School were evacuated after bomb threats were sent to multiple city facilities, officials said. Every Clark County building was also closed Thursday out of "an abundance of caution," county officials said.
Thursday's evacuation of Fulton Elementary School was based on information received from the state fire marshal, school officials said.
A copy of Thursday's bomb threat acquired by the USA Today Network disparaged Springfield's Haitian community and referenced false claims, spread by prominent conservative figures like former president Donald Trump, that immigrants were eating pets and wildlife.

Years ago, Mike Royko wrote a column for the Sun-Times about how things were done in Springfield, IL -- bribery!

A couple of weeks later, women who supported ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment actually tried to bribe an Illinois legislature, taking Mr. Royko's advice to heart.

Should Mr. Royko have been indicted for conspiracy to commit bribery? Of course not (even thought my Dad thought so)!

Same here. If someone is stupid enough to phone in or otherwise make a threat against a public school, it's their stupidity. A political candidate can say something stupid but if he or she doesn't commit the act, or openly conspire to encourage someone to do it, it aint their fault.

Period.

Regardless of party, political philosophy or social bent!
