Seriously, whichever TV executive made the decision to put Marquette on CBS Sports more than DePaul and Georgetown shouldn’t have a job come next season.

I know Marquette wasn’t expected to be good this season, but to be on the secondary network more than a team who hasn’t won a Big East game in 2 years or haven’t been in an NCAA tourney in nearly 20? That’s borderline negligence.

No one outside of the fans of the teams involved will be watching regardless of the network. Going against a NFL playoff game won’t help ratings.

It’s not about this game in particular, but the fact that MU will Have played 3 of their last 4 games on CBS sports network. And a massive conference game against X in Mid-February is also going to be on CBS

We should be on FOX only.

Normally I would be complaining about CBS as well but I found a nearby pizza place that has a dozen tvs
The owner puts two on in the corner for me and joins in . Random neighborhood people and some neighbors also come sit down an root for MU. Turned into an MU viewing spot for the last couple of years.
Oh, and he has a dozen local San Diego breweries on tap . For the last game a woman came in to pick up an order and came over to tell me her dad was at MU in"77.

In my defense I went through three pages of topics to make sure it wasn’t a repeat, and it wasn’t.

CBSSN sucks

Crying on two different threads about this and then making a thread of it's own.  Someone's mad.

It's about the market.

I'm surprised they haven't swapped any of the games onto fox.

CBSSN buys these from Fox. Fox gets a premium for better games. Maybe it's a good thing?

Personally, I like the beginning of games as much as the rest of the game.

If I'm going to get mad, it will be at FS1 for having to miss the first part of games. Once Fox learns how to schedule, then I will get mad at CBSSN for something.

1970's TV coverage of Marquette outside of Milwaukee = 3 National TV games a year because of Marquette's status.  Don't know how anyone can complain when every game is televised.

We’re lucky to have pretty much all Marquette games available on TV. I live in Kansas City, and my KU, K-State and Mizzou friends can’t get a good amount of their games on TV, yet I can see every game for my team. It infuriates them.

We’re going to have two TVs going tomorrow - one for Marquette and one for the Chiefs. Hopefully it will be a great sports day.

CBS Sports Net kind of sucked before they had widespread distribution.  But now almost every carrier has it, so I don't get the complaint.

True story.  About a month ago, after a lot of procrastination and urging by my adult sons, I contacted my provider and told them I was going to switch to another provider because they charged too much.  So they pull up my account and determine that I'm on a plan that no longer is available but the good news is they can switch me to a plan a lot less expensive.  They ask about my viewing habits and I said I want the local affiliate channels and I watch a LOT of sports.  Ok, here's what we can do.....  So I am proud of myself for knocking about $60 per month off my plan (including internet).  The next MU game, I turn on the TV and see they are not on FS1 and channel guide directs me to CBSSN.  NOT AVAILABLE ON MY PLAN!  I call the provider and have it added - for an additional cost.

I agree regarding DePaul, but Georgetown still draws the biggest ratings in the league. Many viewers haven't realized it's not 2013 anymore.
