Might actually be a team stud eh? Oso locking down the point, omax for scoring l, kolek for assists, Sean for not allowing sanogo to dribble.

Oso. His ability to make his own disadvantage into a mismatch was crucial here

That’s the best argument I’ve seen for anyone.

I’d do team for this one, but if has to be a person, see GB point.

This might get some pushback, but I’d bet if you asked him Oso would say he didn’t play great tonight.

Same with TyKo.

That’s what makes this team special.

Sean Jones is my answer.
You will rarely, if ever, see someone play 14 minutes and have the impact the way he did.

Down 11 with under 6 left in the 1H and he brought it all- energy, defense, excitement, scoring.
Down 4 at half and Shaka does his Shaka thing and Marquette goes on to win.

This seems like a great thread to comment on this-
Marquette won a game against an elite team without playing fantastic basketball, and that’s special.

Great defense outside of Clingan.

Edited to mention that one of my favorite plays of the 2H was when Sean went up against Clingan and won that loose ball.
Just incredible.

Oso, wouldn’t complain about Kam or TKO though.
I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

So many greats, but it's Oso. He was the only one able to manage Clingan and he made the person BEPOY unplayable.

Kudos to Sean's first half, Kam's second, Tyler and O-Max being their steady selves, plenty to be happy about, but Oso was the guy we needed in the middle.

Oso.

I think OMax had a better game.

Oso hitting those late free throws after struggling all year deserves special recognition and elevates him to SOTG, IMHO

I really liked how after the goose egg first half, Kam came out and just took what they gave him. He didn't force anything. He has developed into a very disciplined star ballplayer.
Some game by Oso!

Omax’s 6 rebounds were huge.    We held our own on rebounds 35-29 (MU).  Well done team and coaches!

100%. Oso made some clutch FTs. Seems like a paradox that he eliminated Sanogo, but also couldn't figure out how to play Clingan. We didn't rebound well in the last 5 minutes, thats on the team but I'm looking to Oso to lead there. Uconn's push came just a little too late, but we had zero answer for Clingan.

For that it's Prosper. Really a team effort though.

nyg makes a great argument for Kam, who was dynamite when the game was decided in the second half, capping it all with his dagger 3. Sean Jones was electric during his time on the court. OMax was outstanding. And so on.

But Oso does so much out there, and the team suffers so much when he's not on the floor. When it looked for a second like he was hurt, I might have even cursed a little.
