Tiger Woods 2023 Schedule is out

The Big Cat will be the playing 6 events . On a month starting February .

Genesis Open
Players Championship
Masters
PGA
US Open
The Open Championship

Padraig Harrington thinks Tiger still has one more major in him. Tigers body is bad for sure . However , If the Weather is good all 4 days and Tiger has a good putting week it could happen.

I watched him walk at the PNC.  He still has miles to go before he can string together multiple competitive rounds together while walking the course.

I think it's time to celebrate him just making the cut.

Such a fun career to watch. Second best player ever in my book. Personal crap aside, he was awesome.

MUBurrow

The 2019 Masters win was magical and we shouldn't diminish it by looking for the next one.

He won't catch Jack on majors because of his injuries, but in his prime he was the best ever and imo it't not even close.

Golden Avalanche

Comparing athletes across generations is a silly exercise but seeing the struggles of Woods to handle daily life activities should bring more people to learn about the ridiculous accomplishments of William Ben Hogan.

Agreed.

And Jack, by his own choice, placed more emphasis on his family compared to his golf game than Tiger did.

I'm not saying one is right and the other is wrong.

Doing the Scotland trip with pops for his 60th this year.

Any recommendations for courses, ideally looking for a good mix of cheaper (£50-£100) courses and the obvious Open Championship caliber places.

Extremely open ended question. Where are you basing yourself in Scotland?

It's all very preliminary planning. The only thing I know forsure is it'll be September-ish and we're going to rent a car.

Happy to fly into Aberdeen, Glasgow, or Edinburgh, whichever gets the most bang for our buck. Obviously would love to play The Old Course but also realize that it's highly unlikely.

🏀

My recommendation, home base yourself in St. Andrews. Check with hotels for tee times, might be lucky there if you stay there. After that the ballot process, then walk-ups the morning of are possible if you're in town. Even if you're not in town, walk the Old Course on Sunday. Of course Eden/Jubilee is a bit easier to get on as well, if you can't play the Old Course, play next to it.

From St. Andrews, other courses that are easily reachable on my list are Crail, Carnoustie, Elie, Panmure, maybe Kingsbarns.

Wife setup trip to The Open for my 40th back in 2006 when Tiger won at Royal Liverpool. Audibled and skipped Open but played New Course at St Andrews, walked Old Course on Sunday, ate lunch at Tom Morris Bar and Grill overlooking the Old Course, and hit the Jigger Inn next to the Road hole where you can watch folks play Road Hole. St. Andrews is great but two days is plenty.
Decided to skip Rotunda courses because figured there would be time in future for guys trip. We drove coast counterclockwise and stopped in Carnoustie, Aberdeen, and a few other spots. Golfed at Cruden Bay twice which was great and a couple other courses. Highlight was playing Royal Dornoch up north which is where Donald Ross learned his trade. You can hit the Whiskey trail along the way as well. In the north you can also see the Culloden Battlefields and William Wallace Monument....
Also hit Edinburgh which has a lot of great history as well.
Lots of great choices no matter what routes you take.

I've a good friend mine that thinks he is going to get a firm invite to Jordan's track. I think he might be victim of wishful thinking, but pulling for him.

I love that he built a course because he wanted more privacy and less slow play

I'm just stunned he didn't built it on/near/adjacent to Native American land so he could also include a personal private casino.
