This team is better than ninth in the Big East, how much will depend on their commitment to rebounding the ball and keeping teams out of the paint defensively.

Kam and Tyler have put on noticeable weight and were willing to drive and take on contact at the rim. In my opinion, Kam has taken the biggest step forward of anyone on the team. Still not a great defender yet, but definitely a more committed defender. Tyler's shot looks improved. More arc with less side spin, hit all three attempts within the game. He's a clear leader of the team, I'm excited to see him continue to grow in that role.

Oso was the other player that really stood out as taking a step forward. Oso made multiple passes tonight that big guys are typically incapable of doing, both off the dribble and off the catch.  His vision is special and Shaka mentioned again that Oso will handle the ball as much as anyone else on the team. Oso will have to stay out of foul trouble and stay healthy because there isn't much help behind him at the 5. Keeyan is so athletic, but still needs to put on some size to play in the BE.

All three freshman will likely play, but especially Sean Jones and Chase Ross, as I believe their defense is closer to BE caliber right now than Ben Gold's. I'm excited to see how these guys complement what the team already has. In a perfect world, Gold would probably RS to build up some more size but with the lack of frontline depth, I think he'll get some minutes.

I don't know where they will finish in the conference, but I'm positive they are not a 9th place team.
