Does anyone have any reliable information on how ticket sales might be going?? The game is a little over two weeks away ( 11-11-22). While the novelty of the situation will no doubt sell some tickets, I can think of other reasons why interest might not be so strong.

I wonder if anyone explained to Stanford that here in the upper Midwest in November, a " retractable roof" IS NOT the same as a "perfect seal".

When you play around on the seat maps for the game, there are still plenty of tickets available. My guess is that they will have enough sold to make it look full on television but will be pretty empty when all is said and done.

This game reeks of utter boredom even with the novelty of playing in a baseball park.

Five-day weather forecast says the low temperature in Milwaukee Friday evening will be 29 degrees outside.

Could be interesting.

Who cares?

The only good rodent is a really dead one run over by a truck with a license plate that says MU#1.

I hope they don't draw crap so they can go back with their tail between their legs, never to be seen nor heard from again.

After all this hype, I can't wait to hear all the whiny BADgers complaining about how cold it was in there.

What is the purpose of playing this game in a baseball stadium?

And they would be at Am Fam?

Yes

Okay.  I'm cool with that if they look like they did last year vs Iowa St.

So Wisconsin-Madison hosted NCAA Tournament Basketball games in a baseball field in Milwaukee?

Are the people in Madison trying to get the Brewers to play a home series in the Kohl Center in return?

Likely will never happen, the Brewers need that field in April.

The Hippie Satan of Hyperbole

I really don't think the UW wants to host NCAA games at AmFam. I believe everyone knows that's extremely difficult given the weather and the Brewer's needs that close to the opener.

I think this is all about a promoter who thought they could do something profitable, but is probably not going to make much at all due to the lack of interest.  UW signed on because they are getting a guaranteed $350k.

Yeah, little rodent, you're in Warrior Country now. Go back to your little Kohlhole and let's hope we never see nor hear from you again in these parts.

They could host the first two weekends and not impact the Brewers.

I don't think the Brewers want their field covered up for a week before the season starts.

Which still leaves the first weekend at a minimum.

This is run to test the feasibility of hosting ncaa tournament games. I think it's going to fail as much as you, but that's their intention.

UW-Madison might draw better at Am Fam Field if they scheduled a Big14Ten baseball game in there against one of their rivals, like maybe Michigan.  Oh, wait, UW-Madison doesn't have a baseball team.

The only Big14Ten school that doesn't have baseball.

I was really hoping to see Gard sitting on the bench in a parka and mittens. Low Friday night now forecast for 29 degrees.

The Hippie Satan of Hyperbole

The heat isn't going to be a problem. It will probably be in the low 60s inside.

The lack of crowd is going to be a problem.

I recall 25 years ago when Miller Park was being built, the engineers emphasizing that with the roof closed, they could heat the interior to 30 degrees higher than the outside temperature. The low Friday night is supposed to be 29. Do the math.

Keep in mind, all the heating ducts in the place are in the seating area at concourse level. Don't know how much heat can be generated out near second base where the basketball court will be located, in a building with a 200 +foot ceiling.

We shall see.
