Keanu is still kicking a$$ at 59

Isn't he 6 feet?  I'm excluding Chucky fwiw.  The bottom line is we must have a diminutive badass in the mold of Bronson, Denzel, Neeson, etc.   I'm talking about a guy who can do significant damage in seconds and not just with Bruce Leeish martial arts.

DiStefano and Nimesh Patel are great. Don't know Sam Morris but if it's Sam Morrill he's equally funny. Should be a great show.

Anyone see "Mr. Throwback" yet?

It's hysterical.  A mockumentary about a guy who was a childhood basketball teammate of Steph Curry (who was his backup) who now sells memorabilia after a scandal.

Lots of fun cameos and name checks.  Example: "Rick Pitino gave him a Range Rover when he was twelve".
Have some patience, FFS.

Finished S1 of Twisted Metal on Peacock. Really well done for the "stupid fun" category. Don't even need experience with the games IMO. Set up really nicely for S2 which is supposed to film this fall.

I'll stick with my opinion on Gold.  He'll be in foul trouble within the first eight minutes.

Went through the three seasons (6 ep each) of Shoresy on Hulu over the last couple weeks. It's a fun watch... It's kind of a silly comedy that has some cleverly written dialogue.

Daughters on Netflix was powerful.

Ted Lasso is reportedly returning for a fourth season.

Strange Darling was quite the movie

Read to go in as a blind as possible, was very easy because even as a big movie guy I didn't even know it existed til like two weeks ago.

hell of a movie. two fantastic lead performances. Very uniquely shot and structured. The way the story was told was perfect for that movie.

Have to say I don't love Lasso returning. I feel like they wrapped it up well. If they wanted to do a Roy Kent spinoff I'd be all about that, but I like where they left Ted's story.

Yeah, but I don't think I'll ever complain about more Ted.  We'll see how it goes though.

My wife got through a few. I wanted to see how it ended, so, dope that I am, I watched all 7 episodes. I'll never get those hours back.

Kind of felt the same way about the Acolyte on Disney.

They set it up for a AFC Richmond spinoff with Roy and the womens team with Keely.  If its indeed Ted Lasso Season 4, you'd assume Ted is heavily involved.  So it either involves a weird two locale situation with Ted in Kansas and the rest of the club in London.  Or Ted goes back which totally backtracks and cheapens the sentiment of the final few episodes.

Will I still watch?  Of course, especially seeing what Brett Goldstein did with Shrinking.  But they need to be really clever and non contrived to get the show to a logical and reasonable starting point, much less a full season of plot.

I have great respect for show creators who know the story they want to tell and then tell it -- even if it ends -- without dragging it out until it gets cancelled. However you feel about S3, that's what we were told about Ted Lasso. I'll watch it too, but I will admit that I'm not optimistic

Is it a sure-thing? My read was it was a contractual lever just in case. But I know nothing about these contracts.

The Reagan flick is getting killed by critics.

The Boston Globe said, simply: "Just say no."

The Daily Beast called it the worst movie of the year.

AP gave it 1.5 out of 4 stars.

Agree. Would have been nice if it could have been at least as good as the Dick Cheney flick.

Maybe would have been more entertaining if Dennis's brother Randy was playing Reagan instead.

That's nothing compared to the time I devoted to the 6 seasons of "Lost" that I will never get back!
