I don't agree with this. He's historically been a very high effort player. He looks mentally checked out (and he's not alone).

At half, St. John's is shooting 68.3% eFG%. Their best game in the KenPom era is 73.7% #mubb trails 47-28... and has a turnover rate of almost 40%.

If you look carefully you can see he's slowly been taking control of the team, or at minimum has taken a much more active role in coaching the team. It's an interesting development.
