But wait, according to the naysayers here, Hauser sucks. They know who they are, now cue the comments, and we know where the first will come from

Sam Hauser 4 year/$45 mil extension signed with Celtics

It's going to be really interesting to watch what happens with the sale of the Cs.  The team salary total for next year plus the salary cap penalties are almost a half billion dollars combined.  No new owner wants to watch half a bil go out the door each year.

You say this, but have never produced any evidence proving the claim.

Tyler Kolek talks about summer training.  Will be fun to watch him in the NBA.  If the article is correct, $6.6 million guaranteed money is the most ever for any 2nd Round pick.

Just think of how good it would be for him if he returned to Marquette to improve.

Oso just got 6 early 1st half minutes.

5 rebounds and 1 block. He looked really really good! Also pulled the chair out on Harden on a fast break and blocked it off his face.

Wish Oso got the easy rebounds in bulk for us

Oso looked really comfortable out there, and you could see why he's in the Suns' rotation. He had several fine defensive  possessions.

I was really impressed with the limited minutes I saw.  To say he looked comfortable understates how natural he looked.  He was really tough on defense several times with some of the big vets he went against.  He wasn't going to get shoved around and really battled it out inside.  And of course then the Harden block. Harden sat on the floor looking for a foul for the rookie, but it was a nice clean hand on ball.   That must have felt so good for Oso.

The fact that he was playing with Durant and Nurkic at the same time was a nice development for him. 3 guys 6'11" or taller on the court at the same time.

He caught the ball at 15+ feet a lot and never really looked at the basket though so it'll be tough for him to get minutes to close out games with limited offensive ability. He looked really good all things considered!

It was interesting the number of times Oso's role was to wait in the corner to spread the court - as if he were a 3-point threat. But he also got a lot of play up top as both a screen-setter, pick-and-roller and facilitator. His ability to defend anybody credibly is what will get him most of his PT, though. He didn't disappoint in that aspect last night.

Bud used Oso as the 3 in a big lineup, as the 5 in a small lineup and as the 4 in a more conventional lineup. He did well in each role, and also did well when switched onto a smaller guy on the perimeter.

Being able to make 3s is probably the #1 thing teams look for nowadays, but being able to defend anybody while also having a high offensive IQ is important, too, and it will keep Oso getting PT for the Suns.

PGsHeroes32

Oso getting 12 minutes spread throughout a competitive game in game 1 is a good sign for his role going forward

Pretty confident if he does play well and show versatility he will begin stealing bench minutes from Plumlee

Oso got 6 minutes with 1 rebound and 1 assist.
