Hello all, living out of town now, I'm going to my first game of the year on Wednesday, but I've heard rumblings that parking can be difficult near the BC with the construction of the new arena.  Is this true? Where are some options to park near the BC and prices?  I would like to believe parking in the Hyatt structure still works just fine for going to games? Thanks in advance!

The main parking structure is gone, but most of the other paid parking still remains.

If you are cheapskates like glow and me, it is a little trickier.  4th and 5th streets and Highland Ave. are partially or completely blocked off(including sidewalks) , so you lose a lot of street parking close, and you may have to go out a block out of your way to get to a BMO entrance.  We park up a block or two north of the arena.
Have some patience, FFS.

Google Manpower's address and park on the side streets right around there.  You have to walk quite a few blocks but it's free and the easiest parking to get to and from.

Eldon

Not sure what the signs are anymore, but you could use the spots next to the Milwaukee Public library on 9th st.  I believe the meters there turn off at 6pm and there's usually empty spots there at that time.

For $20 you cab park right across the street, next to Turner Hall.  If you go 1x per year lie me, it's worth it.

Park for free on campus by Miss Katie's and take the shuttle.
This space reserved for a 2024 2025 National Championship celebration banner.

The MacArthur sugared underground lot?  It might be more crowded now with elimination of the other structure, but still only cost about $9/10 and the walk is short. Exit out 8th street? To avoid some of the crap?

This is not really true.  The Bradley Center parking structure is still there and used for parking.  You must be referring to the parking garage at 4th & Highland which is\will be torn down as part of the new arena project.

Yep. Sorry,  I have never parked in either lot.

+1, many local places run shuttles, Saz's and on the southside O'Lydias and Stenny's do as well

MerrittsMustache

Depending on which shuttle you take, the problem can be getting back onto the shuttles after the game. You might walk right on and go or you might be waiting in the cold for 20 minutes.

Go early, drive around and find street parking. Most of the meters only go until 6 anyway.

Rough night for parking tonight

I always just head into the side streets directly north of the construction sites.  It's a 10 minute walk from my car to the BC, but that's pretty much what you're going to have no matter where you're parking with all the streets closed.  Plus then if you have to head west after the game (as I do) you can then go north away from traffic and not go right into the middle of where everyone is trying to leave the area.

I aim to get as close as possible without paying more than $10.

Lately, we've been lucky with some 3rd Street lots or a couple hidden street spots. Had to park at Water and McKinley last night, for $1.

We always street park.  Saves us some coin and gets me some exercise.  All good.

I hate driving in circles so my plan is always to head north on water. Sometimes you get lucky with parking near state but otherwise I keep driving north until it starts to bend. Always parking over there for free NW of the Kern Center and with the way construction is near the stadium, you really don't lose anytime as you walk pass the crowds and lines of the structure/surface lot. Less than a mile walk from the BC and convenient if you decide to meet a friend on 3rd or water.

Same here Chick. On the street has easy entrance and exit back to the Chicago-bound freeway.

Much easier and better than ANY Chicago sports venue!

Some cheapskates on this thread...what's next? A topic on how you sneak drinks & snacks into the BC?

I know you are half joking but I don't see how parking is an assumed cost at a game or something someone is trying to weasel out of paying. It's not like parking at the surface lot across the street brings revenue to Marquette or the BC.

Also, between Bucks, Packer, and MU games I attend 50 sporting events a year. I save about $1k a year just becomes I'm not lazy. Add in that I find it easier to meet at the bars for a drink before/after the game and get out of the stadium without waiting in the garage, I would rather park 3/4 mile away even if both were free.

Why would I pay to park in a place that is going to increase my round trip by 30 minutes or more in order to save me from walking a block?  I am not that lazy.

Gotta save the sneaking of drinks for the NCAA tournament games...for 4 games, I need a little more than just pop for the entire day!
