Before Marquette even offered, a friend reached out and talked to me about the family, that they were hoping all five brothers would be D1 players, and how they were hoping for offers from Marquette and Wisconsin to stay local. Knowing next to nothing about the kid, I said "man he needs to come here because the Shaka Kon headline writes itself."

With all the other interest as his recruitment blew up, I feared we wouldn't be able to get that great headline, but knowing we have "Shaka Konned" as a fallback makes me happy. Thank you for restoring my faith in quality headline potential.

Because there seems to be a lot of misinformation or poorly sourced information out there regarding this one. Mainly, I saw someone elsewhere saying that Marquette isn't a factor and I feel confident that is not accurate.
