North Hills 2024 Royce Parham will take a visit to #Marquette for its game against Butler on Feb. 4, he told @PghSportsNow

Picked up an offer when Shaka in September🔽🔽

This kid is a stud.  Would be a great addition as a power forward and fits Shaka's system well.  Penn State and Bucky have spent a lot of time recruiting him early in his career.  he is starting to blow up now.

I suspect we will start to see Shaka have a high "hit" rate on his priority targets.  The success of this season, the growth of each player, and the culture being formed along with the Shaka brand that resonates nationally - all point toward recruiting wins in the future.

Mix that with a lot of the blue bloods going through coaching changes and having generally down years, the timing of Marquette's success cannot be understated.

It is poor timing, if you do not have open scholarships.

We will have open spots in 2024 and 2025 which are the classes being recruited now..........how many? Who knows?

They aren't bringing in guys on official visits for the fun of it......

Correct. Rosters are fluid.  Whether it's players turning pro, players transferring out, or both, there will always be room.

1. scholarships can open up in one conversation
2. all those great players still available in 2023. (basically just lebrons son)
3. All indications are Marquette wants a 2 man class in 2024.
4. If last year cycle proves anything Marquette hosts the visits now, and then really recruits hard from April through the summer.

Apparently, you guys do not understand the definition of "if".

I agree you never stop recruiting, because you do not know who will stay.

He rebounds well too.  He will have to stop doing that. 😝

I think we are deep enough in the recruiting trail where one of the recruiting gurus can give us a nice list of preferred targets, maybe split it up into bigs and guards/wings?
Maybe with a guess at the order of priority?

Parham, Faisal's kid, Kneuppel etc

Thanks in advance.

Based on last year. Doing this is a little pointless because the staff clearly reevaluates there recruits at or near end of the year. (they clearly did it last year with Norman and Ames, and Amadou and Roberts).

The two visits already hosted are Demarius Owens and Bryce Dorch.

Kneuppel is local. Royce Parham is someone they have talked to for a while, he is visiting on NMD.
Isaiah Abraham wants to definatly visit Marquette. My guess is it will be the last game of the year.
Shaka has also visited Sir Mohammed twice in Charlotte.

I think the aim is to get a two man class from this group. Mostly targeting the 4 position.

Maybee Sir iz waitin' on a visit from Nads ta seal da deel, hey?

My bad, forgot the blue for sarcasm.  Glad he was able to witness it.

Can't hurt for our chances there.

I think he was quoting Knueppel, when he asked about UW's offense.

It is a double edged sword: clear path to PT in Madison given how bad their roster is.
