Well it's a good thing we have Derrick's leadership today. These last couple minutes he's really put the team on his back.
Joke post of the year!!!!!

Spot on. Absolutely horrible at closing out games. Playing not to lose versus playing to win.

Buzz did it last year as well - riding his vets all the way down the stretch when it was pretty evident it wasn't going to work.  Coaches sometimes get too conservative.

But, this year will/should be a good learning year for Wojo.  We damn near screwed this one up too.

One last dumb play by Derrick. He was abysmal down the stretch. There's really no debate about that.

Yeah, his two costly TO's and offensive foul down the stretch really demonstrated that. keep smoking those mushrooms.

Spare us the"they lost it more than we won it" crap. We needed that. 7 players on the road. I don't give a f*ck. that's a nice win.

I like Wojo, but he is not good coaching the last five minutes of games.  We won despite his poor coaching at the end.  Opponents turn up the heat when MU plays "not to lose ball."

again, 35 minutes of good play, 5 minutes of brainless play.  Do the coaches look at this and figure out we are doing something wrong at the end of games?  Yes the players mess up, but it is on the coaches.  disappointed in the coaching.  If something does not work, dont' keep trying it!

Crean used to take the air out opf the ball very early like Wojo does.  I don't remember Buzz doing it so much.

Anyone think Steve has looked a little bouncier/quick off and on his feet today?

Guess nobody noticed this or felt it to be the case at halftime?  Seemed evident Steve had a different gear today..

I don't totally disagree, but let's be honest:  We're just not that good.  A turnover or two less and a made free throw or two and any decisions look better.

I agree totally.  He and JJJ looked great today.  Steve looked stronger, more explosive and all around a different player.

They got a pretty darn good look there to tie the game, and appeared as if we had a chance to foul.

He did struggle down the stretch.  But a big key with him is if you asked him, he would say he can't make those mistakes down the stretch and no exactly what he did wrong.

Serious question - what did we do to "play not to lose" down the stretch? That's the most common go-to complaint anytime someone loses or wins a close game.

I wanna know, what could MU done differently given their personnel?
