What do you want to see tonight
« on: November 12, 2007, 04:19:07 PM »
I'm curious as to what everyone is hoping to see in this game tonight that they didn't see on Saturday.

for me, i would love to see Fitz take those couple 3's that DJ usually takes.  i would also like to see acker control the ball a little more and have the team fast breaking.  for as many guards were on the floor Saturday, we didn't seem to be pushing the ball as hard as we did last year.

I'd like to see a double double out of Barro which he shouldn't be that tough, playing a team the size of Utah Valley State.  I'd like to see DJ MAKE those 3s because its all about confidence.  I'd like to see some full court press.

id like to see dj score above 20 pts- seems like its been awhile and i feel he needs the confidence back. on the same note shoot above 40% from 3, maybe 3/6 or something.

id also like to see burke get some confidence- rebounds and blocks with an occasional dunk. i dont think he will start for long but i do think we will need him at some point

id like to see blackledge and hazel

id like to see fitz push and rebound- it took 4 yrs to get even a small bit of that from novak and it seems like fitz is even worse. hes valuable, but only if he can body up a tiny bit and rebound the same bit. if not, he will play back up to hayward all year and be a 3 pt guy off the bench

id love to see acker dunk  :)

no thanks.. would prefer that to happen when a video feed is available for us non-locals... meanwhile, have cube continue to perfect his boost position.

I would like to see...
some decent lane driving out of DJ.
Fitz bury 3 three-pointers.
Hayward pull in 9-10 boards with 15 points.
Coobs to drive the lane again. 2 three-pointers.
McNeal to have 8 steals against the lowly opponent.

and...
I'm curious to see the quality of the Time Warner broadcast.

IUPUI was TW, and it was done very well.  I didn't even hear anyone complain about the commentators.

Well, this one will be on TV in WI, so I'm guessing some local could put it on YouTube for us :)

Last night was TW showing a Full Court feed.

Tonight is an all-around TW production.

Unless they aren't going to be different?

screw that.. I change my stance.. I'd rather him wait til I see a game in person to do it.. which unfortunately won't be til the @cinci game or home L-ville game.. how sweet would it be to not only see him do it in person but to see him do it over L-ville's centers? LOL

I was actually pleasantly surprised by the commentators. I can't remember the name of the play by play guy, but from the sounds of it, he was from Illinois (made some comment about Mike Kelly playing against them).

The color guy was Mike Kelly, who I have to kind of hate because he was a badger, but I have to admit that his color commentary was very good. Insightful, fluid, relatively fun... if they do MU games all year, I will be happy with that.

Kelly did a nice job describing the different ways that MU defends the pick and roll and really sounded knowledgeable about MU. He did his homework.

The play-by-play man for the IUPUI game was Lou Canellis. He is a Chicago guy and does a pretty good job. IIRC, he did play-by-play for Marquette's Conference USA Tournament games in 2003 and 2004.

I don't know for sure, but I think the production crew is the same, but the on-screen graphics (score boxes) will be TWS instead of ESPN+.

If I'm wrong - well - let me know.  I'll try to feel bad for you as I'm listening to the internet radio feed  :)

KI was at the game the other nite - I would like to see lots more inside out - pentrating, drawing the defenders and kicking it out and scoring.

Also - I am in Chicago - I'd like to see the game.  I have comcast - is the game on?  Is it on the net somehwere?
