Nice trend for Todd in last 5 games since his minutes have been upped from average of 21 to 29...long stretches of uninterrupted run.

Minutes per game   PPG   RPG   APG   Steals/game

29.2                      14.6  2.6   3.0    1.6

Team also 4-1.  Definite X factor for team.  Glad Buzz has finally given him Vander like time..although still need about another 4 minutes to game to match Vander's 33 per game last year.

Todd is the single streakiest player we have had in the last 5 years. Goes through stretches where he does not miss and looks like the best player on the floor. Then he gets cold and commits dumb turnovers. I think he will be the man next year and I think he will get drafted.

I have faith in Mayo

I honestly don't know what to think about Todd at this point. I will definitely acknowledge that our team is much better when he plays well, but there have also been times that I wished he wasn't on the team. Ryan Amoroso is the only other MU player that I ever felt this way about.

I hope you are right about Todd "being the man" next year, but I could just as easily see him having another up and down year. I really don't think he will get drafted.

glad he's getting more run, MU needs him, Jamil and Gardner to lead the way from here on out...
Also, it seems like Todd has more turnovers on 1 on 1 breakaways than any player i've ever seen. he seems to throw his elbow a lot and get called of offensive fouls, or just get stripped all together. it only stands out because it seems like he over-thinks a layup and ends up turning it over. anyone else notice that?

It stands out because he's the only one going to the hoop.

I often felt the same way about Jerel McNeal. Though a lot of his came on 2 on 1 breaks. If Jerel was leading a break you always knew he was taking it to basket no matter what.

I'm too lazy to figure it out, but I suspect that most of his increased minutes are coming at the expense of Juan and Deonte, and less from Jake.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

+1000

Don't think Todd will get drafted as he's a little undersized...but he can be a very good player at this level, and should be our go to guy next year.

His streaky play will subside when his minutes stop being streaky...starting to see that happen now...and think it will bode well moving forward for Todd and the team.

Todd Mayo and Davante Gardner are the only two clutch/cold blooded players on the team. The more they play - warts/weaknesses and all - the better the Warriors are.
