Did KL at least say Bucky was a close second place??

So all of those gurus had Duke a day ago some switching to Fla.
Maybe they don't know sheet after all.

Trend was Duke, then Florida, then Tennessee in the last days/hours.

How many of y'all have spent any time in Westwood? Gorgeous and refurbished facilities. Commitment renewed to hoops. Has family in SoCal along with Nick Young (1st cousin). UCLA obviously put on a tremendous presentation.

I remember someone or another mentioning Uclah, but this is a surprise.

Remember Alford's commitment to UCLA & vice versa is real. That unique contract helps recruiting - most don't help much. Good luck to Looney. PAC 12 can use the help!
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.

you old enough to get grandfathered in to get licensed to poke teeth in CA?  You can bunk with the Bailbondsman while you find yourself a new crib.

UCLA has a great campus, great weather, academics and co-eds aren't bad either.  Maybe he gets homesick being so far from home and pulls a Jamil Wilson.  Good luck to him.

Agreed on all counts. But getting into/out of Westwood is hell. The absolute worst.

Sure, I said all those things. No reason whatsoever needed to validate my comments as there was never 1 word of hyperbole or falsehood uttered. Recruitin' is an ever volitile activity, especially when so many are involved. I stand by every statement I've ever made concerning Kevon, whether they were direct quotes or as I've qualified, opinions.

One thing is for sure. Bucky never had a chance. Token name on this list and that is it.

Yeah...but...Steve Alford.  Honestly he's a complete underperformer.  He makes Bo Ryan look clutch.

UCLA has a GREAT new arena. Homey, comfortable but no Bradley Center.

Surprised but glad he picked a powerhouse that has had some difficult times.

I assume you are rating him as an underperformer as a coach, not as a basketball player. Maybe you should define that. I have not looked it up, but I believe that he either won or was runner up D3 championship. He also won a couple of Big 10 tourney championships. Several conference championships at New Mexico. Turned around SW Mo. program, and I believe he took them to the Sweet 16 one year, or at least won a tourney game there. And since all of that, then he underperformed his way to the Head Coach at UCLA--probably the most storied program in country. Lots of underperforming there. Now he has the facilities, alumni base, money and program. Not to mention the underperforming gonads he had to take that job in that high pressure cooker.
Yeah, I guess he is a big time underperformer. No he has not won an NCAA championship, but other than a handful of current coaches, nobody else has either.
OK, Mr. expert analysts, you are right as usual.--he is a huge underperformer
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

3 Final Fours in the last 8 years....I wish we had those difficult times.

I think he's referring to the 5 years after that 3rd final four.

Yeah. Two NCAA tournament wins, two years not making ANY tourney, one under .500 season. By UCLA standards (or MU standards under Buzz) the last 5 years have been pretty grim for the Bruins.

Woah... Didn't realize that willie is actually Pierre Pierce.

Alford is a complete underachiever as a head coach. At Iowa and New Mexico, he won a grand total of 3 NCAA tournament games. And, he is the only coach to lose as 3 seed to a 14 twice. Plus, he's a complete POS.

UCLA will regret hiring him.
