  • I prefer a team that's eligible, not paid for
Kyle Casey has withdrawn from school to protect his final year of eligibility because of disciplinary action he could face for involvement in the Government 1310 cheating scandal.  Fellow co-captain Brandyn Curry was also implicated in the scandal but had not yet decided whether or not to leave school.

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

That whole case is quite stupid.  The exam was open book, open notes, open internet, you just couldn't work together.  So if I created a blog and posted all my insight to the problem there and you chose to read said blog and use it for your exam you would be ok.  However, if instead we talked about it, you would be cheating.

In my opinion the teacher wrote a stupid test.  I had several of these types of tests over the years.  The honest students got punished for working independently, the rest all worked together and almost always get away with it.

So the students are forced with a choice, be at a disadvantage and do poorly (relative to the curve) or cheat.

Open book, open notes, Internet access?!

I didn't even have that at MU.

MU rigor > Harvard spoonfed  ;)

That's nothing.  You should have seen PTM and myself in the 2005 surveying final.
