One of only three private schools in the top 25.

BrewCity83

Only one of two Big East schools in the Top 25.

Yep. Thanks to St. Johns.

Nice going Pitino. You hurt the Big East Cause.

Seems very fair. Marquette continues to get national respect.

MU has 5 top 35 wins by my count. #16 is acceptable.  Be we really must get our act together, it's imperative. I think you can make the argument that the fact we came back against XU and UCONN, and had our chances against St.J and CU, with our low C game, is something to be positive about.  Kam must get going obviously as well as our shooting across the board, especially in the paint, but I still believe this group is very capable of making some noise.

What happens if you decide that our ranking is not "acceptable"?  ;D

Our comebacks in the X and UCONN games were more than counterbalanced by the deep holes we dug ourselves in, but still...yeah, very impressive. The bolded is very true. No more deep holes please and we will be fine.

Imagine whining about your seed in a hypothetical national championship game.

Look, the fking weasels played a great game on Saturday, especially in the 2H.  They're a very good offensive team and Tonje can go off.  Their bench has also been productive.  But there's a reason MU took them out and introduced them to darkness. It's called pressure/a.k.a. havoc.   That team can be a turnstile and MU has the ability to make them cough it up. I would very much welcome a rematch in the tournament but our focus right now must be getting Kam right and all of our guys making practice shot J's.

I'd prefer game shot J's actually.

You know what I meant.  We have not handled the pressure of being a top 2 seed well.  It's time to get it together.

The 30-year-old Tonje is a significant upgrade from Storr (even if he wasn't able to do anything against Stevie/Chase). Bill Self quickly learned how much fun the AJ Storr experience was.

You know how many people thought John Tonje was more than just a few minutes this year for any team?

Everyone, including people that cover the Badgers.
