Anyone know how Gaby looked?

My guess is hot.  She would be the only reason I'd go to that.  But not even that is going to convince me to attend a women's game.

Very Traditional

Two ranked wins by the women back to back.  Terri went down for the count on the bench.

Did anyone give her mouth to mouth resuscitation?

Our women's team is actually shaping up to be pretty darn good this year. Two losses to #2 UConn and #12 Notre Dame, with their third loss coming on the road to a decent Creighton team (looks like their version of last year's men's team losing at DePaul). But they do have three wins over ranked teams. They are the only team to defeat UW-Green Bay and now hold the same distinction over West Virginia, and also beat Georgetown on the road.

They'll have more chances to prove themselves, the Big East is nearly as good for women's hoops as for men's (6 ranked teams, 3 more receiving votes). Two games against DePaul, one against St. John's, and a number of other good teams. But if they keep winning, they'll easily get 20 wins, and could get close to 25. Wouldn't surprise me if they earned a higher seed than the men come tourney time.

Our women's team is consistently on par with the men's... the problem is there's still such a giant chasm in terms of talent that separates that good from the great  :/

nevertheless, +1 for the post -- and naysayers/misogynists: I know life is boring if you aren't constantly picking on women's bball, but seriously, nearly every other thread on this board is re: the men's team, so if you have nothing constructive to post, please exercise some self-restraint (consider it a new year's resolution).

On a serious note there was a scary moment in the game when coach Terri Mitchell got hit square in the temple by the ball as MU's Tatiyiana McMorris tried to get a steal - she started falling right away but luckily her assistants were there to literally catch her.  She had to go back to the locker room and asst Cara Consuegra acted as the head coach for the remainder of the game.  MU was down 2 when Mitchell got hurt and went on a big run after that to take the lead.  Mitchell did return to sit on the bench for the last 3 min and they said she would be back in practice on Thursday (team is off tomorrow).

Next game is at USF on Sun at 2:30p on ESPNU.  MU is 14-3 now and have their first legitimate shot at the NCAA's since the 2006-07 season.

I'm sure they have some great ball handlers.

I am a women's basketball fan.   Kudos to the ladies.

Your high school had a bunch of grown men oogling over pictures of 18-year-old girls? Yikes!
