...umm openly put on a PRIVATE website....you can try to justify all you want, it's stealing.  He took paid content and distributed on a free website.

If you are still of the belief that stuff on the internet is "private" then you need to recheck with reality. Scout's security isn't even marginally decent.

You aren't stealing HIS premium content you little ass clown, you are stealing from the people that pay for it's content. You know, fellow MU fans. Classy. Way to represent MU in a honorable way.  ::)

This is the most ridiculous debate I've yet to see on Scoop or the Scout Marquette site.  So if I pay for content as an ESPN Insider - I cannot share that information with a friend of mine?  Can't print out the article from ESPN Insider and give to a friend??  That makes me a theif?  I'm perfectly fine with my ethics as an MU grad..SHARING information I PAID for, with those who either choose not to..or can't afford to.  Maybe you are the one who needs to revisit the values of your Jesuit education...and service to others.

I'll be over to your place tonight...I'll be over to steal your TV, your laptop, and anything else of value I can find. Apparently, that would be ok with you. ::)

I think that you misunderstand how things, in general, work.

I hope you've never downloaded a song from Napster, or watched a TV clip longer than 30 seconds on youtube, because that makes you a "thief."

Hmmmm then if you believe the contents of your home are "private" and anyone should be allowed to break in and take them?? Is it ok, if I do that to your house tonight?? Obviously, "private" is not private in your world, it's all public, so in essence, even though you bought it and paid for it, I have a right to it according to you, or if because your security system at home is useless and I figured out how to get around it, I am entitled to it, is that correct??

Actually, it has nothing to do with Dodds...The person actually stole from Mark Miller(the person who posted the info) and those posters who paid for that info.

Someone made mention that paying for premium info is useless. This is a perfect example.....if the OP doesn't steal the info, and post it over here, the only people that would know this info would be people that pay for that info. You won't find the info on any other boards. Not the Louisville board, not the Florida State board, not the Mississippi St. board, not the Alabama board.

so, just to clarify, you are saying that information can travel on the internet unchecked?

okay.  I like your point.

First off, I never posted anything. But Im also not of a belief that you can police any of this. This is a freaking message board for Christ's sake and some of you are freaking out about some tiny details being leaked to another site. Jeez, recheck your priorities before getting so mad.

Nice, calling people d-bags...the internet makes people so "tough".

Not sure what any of this has to do with being "tough." For the record I am a premium scout member as well and I think it is boneheaded for someone to take info they obtained from the premium scout site and post it here. I was simply commenting on the uptight nature of posters message boards. Try not to get your panties in a bunch "toughguy."

I think it was 2 posts ago... but I'm not sure.

In an attempt to bring this thread back on topic... Do we have any idea what time Hood is planning on announcing his decision?

Actually comparing postings on the internet to privately owned objects in your house is laughable. The internet is open, just realize that. I NEVER argued the morals of it, just the reality of it.

Sure, go right ahead and share it with them.....in that format. But do NOT post it on a FREE website for the whole world to see. Find me another free website of the other teams that Rodney is choosing from where you can find this same info....You can't. There's a reason for that, don't you think??

By the way, I NEVER see anyone get this angry when someone starts a thread for Game Streams. Many of you are being very selective in when you want things on the Internet to retain their privacy.

Now this is about being a "man?"  Really?  I'm very comfortable with my manhood and ethics Djgoldnboy.  The only one's who look like b$tches in any of this are you and Muguru.  Seriously.  Y'all pay for your information over there..and you get it...it's not like you don't get what you pay for.  I paid for my info on Scout..and chose to share with the Scoop community - I've never known to PAY for something, and then be told I was stealing..or not a man.

Since my post asking the time of the Hood announcement was taken down( why I don't know) do I now assume after reading the L'ville board that the alledged announcement is now some time this week?

Also no one seems to get bent out of shape about people posting ESPN Insider articles in full on both sites. I don't think the info should have been posted, especially since someone said, Mark Miller posts here, so there is a reason he put it on the premium site.

Edited to add: The article was dated October 13th, so things might have changed. Also, today is technically next week, so who knows. I trust Mark Miller.

Nice try, but that just says next week. Everyone new that. But what they didn't know until Mark Miller had the info that his announcement would be today.

+1....those of us in the tv industry have to spend a ton of money to carry those games.

I was so hoping to get the blackmail question answered by some here, but it hasn't.  Imagine that..

Is stealing OK with you?

Is having a MU "fansite" negatively impact the program OK with you?

Just asking...
