The Hippie Satan of Hyperbole

Quote from: Uncle Rico on November 21, 2024, 01:19:00 PMPeople forget that a poster on this very website called Stevie Mitchell "dung"

Less than a year ago even.
Matthew 25:40: Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.

He is invaluable on the floor and has such an impressive and likable personality and demeanor.

In re-watching the second half of the game, I noticed he was flexing his left wrist before the ball was inbounded late in the game. Isn't that what gave him issues the final months of last season? Not trying to raise alarm bells, especially because he played through it before, but does anyone know anything about lingering issues with his LEFT hand or wrist?

It was his right arm and shoulder last season.  He gets knocked down a lot.  I hope he didn't land wrong.

And another actually said last season that he "hated" Stevie, which is incredible if you think about it.

Even if one wasn't high on Stevie as a basketball player (which made one enough of a dope), actually "hating" one of the great kids to come through the program? Yikes.

Shaka already said last week that Stevie has been playing through an injury to start the season.

He had a wrist injury also. I don't remember which one but he definitely had it taped up towards the end of the year
Bring back FFP!!!

No one?
It's so fun to see the growth. I can remember Stevie getting late free throws and just throwing the ball at the rim as quickly as possible.  Now he has ice in his veins.  I never thought he'd do what he just did to Maryland and Purdue. It's really fun when kids who deserve to shine do just that.

Stevie may have replaced Earl Tatum as my all-time fave Warrior.

Late in games, Stevie is by far the player I want most at the FT line.

Gold is next. Then either Kam or Ross.

But Stevie's become Mr. Clurch - and that started last season.

Agree with Stevie. But I'd prefer Chase and Jop before Ben and Kam. Jop is 16/18 this year from the line and bit the big ones against Colorado last year. Chase might miss but it won't be because he's nervous. Ben's good at the line but I don't trust him not to get rattled at this point.

Kam has to figure out his late game free throw woes. If him and Stevie could both be lights out, it doesn't really matter about the others.

*hit the big ones

Jolp "bit the big one" vs NC State though.

The team shot 4-31.  Joplin was not alone.
