How come the 4 finalists on the live stream pick'em just now didn't include Marquette?   Simple...because Marquette wasn't in his top 4 for a long time.  Looked to me like that final list was the same that "leeked" out a few weeks ago with MU not on the list and then suddenly we were (even though we weren't).

Still listening to the press conference and the vibe I get is UW really wasn't either. Once UNC offered is was all over folks and I think that's what most of us thought too. UNC is simply the elite of the elite when it comes to college bball...really hard for kids to turn that down.

Until JP carries UNC to a national title and gets selected in the lottery of the NBA draft, lets set aside all of this "Buzz missed" or "Buzz needs to bring in more talent" nonsense.  Vander was ranked in JP's range and he's not exactly torching the nets at the D1 level yet. 

There's a long list of highly ranked kids that didn't amount to much in college.....not saying that JP is in this group, but let's not put the cart before the horse here.  The fact is Buzz isn't going to get the best in state talent on an annual basis.....no coach is.  Further, Buzz is actually batting a pretty high percentage when it comes to pulling in the state's best players so he was due for a let down.

Besides.....who needs JP when we've got Juan Anderson comin' to the 414!  Bring it Cali!
