Dr. Blackheart

A new book out outlining the overall failure of the lockdown on mental and physical health on society. Including the complete disparity of the impacts between rich and poor, the damage of school lockdowns, and total deaths from deferred medical treatment.  Basically, Sweden got it right.

Warning:  This is science based not political.

I wouldn't say it's science based, they cited one study. It's opinion and the authors aren't scientists. One author (Bethany McClean) writes for Vanity Fair, and the other (Joe Nocera) writes Op-Eds and describes himself as a commentator.

This is the one study they reference - https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(23)00461-0/fulltext#%20

Here's the interpretation of the study -

> COVID-19 magnified the polarisation and persistent social, economic, and racial inequities that already existed across US society, but the next pandemic threat need not do the same. US states that mitigated those structural inequalities, deployed science-based interventions such as vaccination and targeted vaccine mandates, and promoted their adoption across society were able to match the best-performing nations in minimising COVID-19 death rates. These findings could contribute to the design and targeting of clinical and policy interventions to facilitate better health outcomes in future crises.

Excellent article, thanks for sharing. Irrational fear and being against wise policy because of who advocates it was certainly part of the problem. I said it while it was going on and it's coming to fruition - what the teacher's unions did to a generation of mostly poor young people by stoking both was criminal. The damage they did will be felt for a long, long time. Randy Weingarten is a disgrace.
