Junior Cadougan interview

Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

While reading that article, I was struck by how much it meant to Junior that he worked hard and made it back onto the court after his injury freshman year.  I think many of us (myself included) fail to appreciate how much it means to these kids to work hard and achieve that recovery/comeback.  That article was all about Junior's confidence.  Even though we would have had him on the floor for another year if he'd red-shirted, who know what that would have done to his confidence to not make it back on the floor freshman year.  We might have had him, maybe he wouldn't have been the same kid.  Or maybe he'd have transferred.  Who knows.  But after reading that, I'm happy that they let him play...even if it means we have one less year with him on the roster.
