They'll give it the old NIL try.

Quote from: Billy Hoyle on April 07, 2025, 01:42:05 PMThis is UH's seventh time in the Final Four, the most for any program without a title. They're due. Plus, I remember how they got screwed out of Big 12 membership by Texas politicians and remember how bad they were during our CUSA days with them (especially the Drexler years) - they went 17 seasons between NCAA tourney appearances. And, I love the story about their hand signal, the Cougar Paw.

I think they can lock down Clayton enough to win a grinder in the 60s.

I hope you're right, and you wouldn't think they'll have a letdown, but following a miraculous victory isn't easy.  They also made a lot of threes Saturday.  I would think Sampson has a specific game plan for Clayton.

No one is "more sleazier".

Florida is the 2nd best offense in the country........Houston the top defense.

Will be an interesting battle........both have top 10 squads on the other side of the ball too.

Clayton has deservedly gotten most of the attention......but Florida has got a lot of other weapons as well.

Absolutely.  Truthfully, I don't think Florida teamwise has played near their best basketball.

Some of the player development happened before they got to Florida.

That was incredible rim protection.

Shhhhj, you're not supposed to mention that. Or that 4 or their starters are transfers

Some crazy launches from both teams early.

Championship game and nobody can make a 3.  Need shooters!

More crying.

Not exactly a shooting clinic thus far.  Some nerves for sure, but the shot selection has been poor.

12 minutes played and Florida hasn't committed a foul yet...

Letting them beat on each other so far.  Somewhere, Pitino Sr. is wondering why he couldn't get officiating like this in the tourney.

Houston is a physical team.  Florida needs to get to the line.

The mental and physical toughness of Houston is pretty extraordinary.  Tremendous focus, poise, and tenacity.
