They will need to be as the cupboard will be bare. Only scorer left is Ross.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind.

Quote from: Juan Anderson's Mixtape on Today at 07:17:06 AMAt least Michael Phillips has picture perfect shooting form and range well beyond the three point line. So Marquette will have one shooter in the future.
What about Militec?

Both can really shoot it, but are skinny. We'll see if they can handle the increased physicality.

What about the guy that just scored 25 at Villanova Willie?

Or the 2 Freshman that combined for nearly 30 at Iowa State?

False.

Need a Ejiofor type of player!

Quote from: BCHoopster on Today at 01:12:33 PMCan Militic help upfront or is he just a wing?

He's not a big.......he's a switchable type and as was mentioned we need to see how he handles the physicality of division 1 as a freshman.

I really like his overall game......high iq kid.....plays hard.....doesn't stand around......cuts....sets screens....kind of left hand dominant right now but that isn't unusual at his age.

Yes, I have only seen James play and very impressed with his skills, other 3 have not seen yet.

Stevens impresses me every time I see him.  Great size for a guard and a great all around game.  Can create and finish off the dribble but the jumper is also really solid.  Absolutely will push for minutes next year, whether its at PG or as a wing.  Ive heard the staff views him as a guy who can play on and off ball and I agree.

Who?

Miletic is a wing.

But a pretty good rebounder. He needs to fill out and probably never will be a true four, but if we're being honest, Joplin doesn't play like a true four either.

I like MU in 2 years, hope to love them in 3...I think they are a fringe NCAA tourney team next year unless they use the portal.
I'm more than okay if they don't.

A couple months ago I questioned if they had a PG (or wing) after Kam leaves that can hit 3's, finish at the rim, and create for others.  If Chase can do so, we'll be an NCAA team.

Chase will never be like Kam. It just isn't his game. He's not a creator. He can be a better version of himself though which is expected.

Marquette's strength next year will be their athleticism, length, and hopefully improved shooting. Their collection of talent should be better next year than this year. That's the vision.

It will be interesting having 14 players to use, can not play them all!

I have higher expectations than bubble team next season.

PG is the biggest question for me followed by depth at the 5.

I have pretty high expectations for the growth we're going to see out of Zaide, Royce, and Damarius.

I expect Chase to be very good and will just cross my fingers Ben can stay healthy.

I agree with Tower's standard approach that anything out of the freshman will be a bonus with James perhaps being the exception to that because he might be needed more than the other guys.

Yeah. The cupboard will be pretty bare. We have some glimpses, but will it be consistent? Do we have any players that can mix it up underneath in BEast? Who? Gold? Don't think so. Do we have any consistent 3 point shooters that can keep us in games in Beast? There are a lot of holes to fill for next year. The same holes we have right now. Care to respond?

Zaide Lowery is shooting 45% from 3.
Damarius Owens is 39% from 3.
Chase Ross is 37% from 3.
Ben Gold is 36% from 3.

Those are their Top 4 3 point percentages. All will be back next year.

Ben Gold is just fine as a Big East Center. 7 footer Josh Clark as his backup. So...ya. Lol
