Well, when you continue to only compete in one half a game, these results can happen

Someone said we would have an inspired come back in the 2nd half that comes up short pretty much nailed it. We can complete those comebacks against DePaul and butler but not Xavier and UConn

We've come back so many times. Not tonight. Hope the guys learn to start playing from the opening tip.

I know be everything I need to know. This team has peaked and is on the downward slope. 

UCONN came in focused and got the job done.

Shaka was spot-on about playing with far too much tension. 

Excruciating and disappointing performance.  We're better than this.  Give UCONN credit for making open shots but we beat ourselves early and it took too much energy to come back. 

Our losses in big games be it tonight or in the tournament always follow the same pattern.  Everyone goes cold at the same time.  Lots of self infected wounds.  Big hole in the first half followed by furious comeback.
Defense and drive only team great for a spoiler but not a true contender.
I'm afraid that's where we are.

Well, ar least we learned about the friendship along the journey

Glad we got to underwhelm the last 2 years so we could exceed expectations and hit.500 next year

Yep and team was won tons of games despite it. Shaka needs to recruit guys who can shoot the ball. Team has some grit but I'm worried it won't be thrilling end to this season

I'm just gimme say it:  I think the upsets of higher ranked teams today made us tight and over-amped. 

Joplin and Kam have gotten worse. Their shooting is awful.

There might be something to that if it wasn't for the fact that there have been a lot of games like this. Against teams like  Butler, DePaul, Georgetown, etal they can play like this, fall behind, and come back to win.

One bottom line is that this is not a good shooting team and in this era that is asking for trouble. When a team is hot from outside like UConn was tonight MU cannot respond in kind. I skimmed through the box scores and MU hasn't shot 40% from 3 since the Georgia game.

I am dreading to see what the offense and rebounding are going to look like against St. John's. But am hoping that MU can pull out an ugly win in a game in the 50's.

MU could have forced 40 turnovers and Uconn still would have won comfortably. They shot unbelievably well tonight. Soemtimes that happens where the other team won't miss and there's nothing you can do. Tip the cap. Don't know who Solo Ball is but he's a lottery pick.

Reminds me of the Hauser years when we totally collapsed at the end of the year. Hopefully we can hand on for a first round bye in BE tournament. CU will pass us this week.

Missing FT's like crazy is more than the stat itself.  It's demoralizing.  It kills any momentum and contributes to losing focus on the defensive end. And in our case it's even worse because we generally don't get to the line that much.  It completely shook us and made us even tighter than we were to start the game.  Shaka said the right things about it but it pretty much cost us any chance of winning this game.
