Quote from: Billy Hoyle on January 10, 2025, 01:00:26 PMND didn't give Kelly the leeway on transfers they have allowed Freeman to have. He wouldn't have been able to bring in guys going into their senior years, especially multiple seniors like Riley Leonard.

I hadn't heard that, Billy. Do you have an article or two you can share saying as much? It's an interesting dynamic.

Either way, he's still a quitter and hypocrite - preach loyalty from players but show none to players. All about himself.

Quote from: Billy Hoyle on January 10, 2025, 11:52:46 AMPSU had two possessions after ND tied the game. One was a three and out with a QB run to the short side of the field on 3rd and short. The other was Allar's INT on the second play of the drive right after the RB had ripped off a 10 yard run. Big Game James couldn't help himself.

+100.  ND had no answer for PSU's zone blocking in the second half. PSU was attacking the edges and getting lanes that O-line coaches will be putting in instructional videos.

Quote from: MU82 on January 09, 2025, 10:39:47 PMI root against ND always but gotta give em credit for toughening up in the second half and not getting dominated on the lines. Plus I kinda like Freeman - seems like the kind of coach I'd want my grandson to play for.

Freeman is a perfect stress test for the insufferable nature of ND and its fanbase.  He's a young, impressive, likable HC...and I still can't find myself pulling for them against anyone outside of Wisky.

Oh my Treveon Henderson.

Ohio state could be up big if they didn't shoot themselves the foot.

Second half outlook: OSU is done toying with an inferior team.

Glad Texas burned em.

That sweep when you need maybe 2 inches was quite the choice

OSU really trying to let Texas hang around

Feels like a perfect example of Chip Kelly when he tries to get too fancy when an offense is working just fine.

Uncle Rico

I was at an Ohio State bar for the first half with 2 Badger fans and they and the Buckeye fans unironically said the playing field is even now that all teams can pay their players

Loved the pitchout from the shotgun at the 1-yard line.  Sark can recruit but man, he's going to need a lot of luck to overcome his Sarkness

One of the worst calls in the moment Ive seen in a LONG time.  He's done amazing stuff with that program but holy hell.  Not even a QB option pitch, just a straight HB toss from the 1.

Ewers had a couple nice throws but my god his anti-redemption tour continues.  Just brutal stuff.  I keep seeing Ole Miss but I don't know if he fits Kiffin's style.  Jackson Dart was a really smart, quick runner who improvised and made funky throws when needed.  Ewers at his best is a lot of things but those aren't one of them.

That was crazy. Especially with running backs who were bull rushing forward for short yards all night and 2 Qbs capable of diving up the gut.

Channel 6, Spencer Hall's (EDSBS) site had a piece this week on Sark's red zone offenses and the synopsis is, he's terrible in the red zone as a play caller.  Teams pile up yards between the 20's but struggle mightily near the end zone

The last time two teams from the north won the college football championship in back to back years is when Joe Montana's 1977 Notre Dame team followed Tony Dorsett's 1976 Pitt team.
