Not happening at Oregon with Uncle Phil's checkbook. Likely kid saw he wasn't guaranteed the starting spot and then bailed instead of earn the spot by beating out Dante Moore.

Penn State is just manhandling Notre Dame on both sides of the line. ND is lucky to be down only 10-3 at the half.

ND's backup QB is a better passer than their starter, who is more effective as a runner.

Penn State's QB has missed at least two TD passes. Inaccurate in the first half, possibly because of nervousness?

Anyway, fun game so far. Hoping Penn State not only continues to dominate physically but also puts more points on the board.

MU82 with his best muggsy jinx.

Good to see coach Freeman learned from Coach Smart and went back to his starting QB.

Against better teams, Drew Allar is a different QB.

Looks great against the bottom of the Big 10. Different story when playing against a team with talent.

I root against ND always but gotta give em credit for toughening up in the second half and not getting dominated on the lines. Plus I kinda like Freeman - seems like the kind of coach I'd want my grandson to play for.

Allar had a Darnold-vs-Lions night (except worse) and ultimately gave the game away.

zero completions to Penn State's wide receivers. How is that possible?

PSU had two possessions after ND tied the game. One was a three and out with a QB run to the short side of the field on 3rd and short. The other was Allar's INT on the second play of the drive right after the RB had ripped off a 10 yard run. Big Game James couldn't help himself.

ND didn't give Kelly the leeway on transfers they have allowed Freeman to have. He wouldn't have been able to bring in guys going into their senior years, especially multiple seniors like Riley Leonard.

What's interesting is that some schools like Michigan and Stanford can't get guys who have been in school three years transfer in and be eligible (they require 50% of a students degree to be completed at their schools so these guys can't hit their progress towards degree requirements. It's hurt Michigan with Caleb Love and Jonell Davis), but ND and Vandy allow it now.
