Actually, I don't know that you're *not* Catherine.

Sometime last year I posted a (intended) joke that someone would still have an AOL email address, such as rocky_warrior@aol.com (that's not me).  I quickly got a PM to please take it down because it was their real email address.  whoops!

I believe I've recognized a couple of scoopers based solely on their posts about what they were doing in that particular day.

Ive also met a couple of scoopers in real life, either buying tickets from them, or just happening to sit down near them.

But dang, to call someone's work over a forum argument...

The part that I don't understand (once you accept that the internet can bring out the worst in people) is how, after you saw your buddy get caught and punished for this kind of behavior, you decide to and do the same thing. Like, what did you expect was going to happen?

I enjoyed meeting several scoopers in Indy last season.

I'm guessing we exchanged actual names at some point but ten months later all I remember are the usernames I met.

After the Keefe ban, I always wondered what would happen if someone tried to do to me. 
But it occured to me it would never be an issue.  At my previous employer only 3 people were answering the phone and one of them was me.  The other two people were more likely than me to tell that person to F' off.  I work from home the last 6 months, so I'm the only one answering now.

I did deal with a doxing situation at my last job.  All website inquiries came to my email.  We hired an operator who was a nice person but definitely wayyyy out there.  Some anonymous person made a website inquiry along the lines of "I can't believe you hired Kevin, he got a Policeman fired and was heard often making bad ethnic comments."  (It was nastier than this.)
When I shared with the hiring persons they said they knew because he was honest in his interview and shared and also went through some rehab and apparently the policeman story was public news and the cop illegally puled him over for malicious reasons that came out in the investigation and led to the firing.
