Quote from: Scoop Snoop on December 03, 2024, 09:09:36 AMYep. My guess is that there may be an announcement sometime today. The fact that there has not been a formal one (beyond out for the ISU game) worries me. In this case, no news (so far) is not good news, but to be clear...I am just speculating.

I'm not sure speculating isn't allowed here, well unless it's wild speculation.

I certainly hope I'm reading too much into tweets, but writing that Zaide is in "good spirits" does not sound promising to me.

I mean, how good would you feel after a knee amputation??

If they only took the knee I'll be in good spirits as a fan.

It's a rare, and relatively experimental procedure.  But if successful, he should be back in no time.

If Austin Peay can have a player with one arm, why not a player with one leg?

We've already had a player with one eye. And a few with only half of a brain.

Can you see his knee clearly?  Or was there just a void where it was supposed to be?

Heard through reliable back channels of photo analysts that the way he was postured in the photo points to two fully intact legs no prosthetics.

I'm simply the messenger though.

If they were to do a leg transplant, is it better to give Sean's good leg to Zaide or Zaide's good leg to Sean?

Harvest legs from one of the walk-ons and give one good leg to Sean and one to Zaide.

Either way, they'd be running in circles.

Yeah on a serious note at least seems to confirm the injury isnt sean level bad

Im not medical expert but I feel like he would be doing a surgery rather than walking onto a plane to Iowa

Not a full picture but did not look like he had crutches either.

MUDPT

Quote from: mu_hilltopper on December 02, 2024, 12:41:29 PMI've always wondered .. for all sports injury moments when the player doesn't want to put weight on a leg .. why not a wheelchair?

Totally common, quickly deployed, inexpensive apparatus that'll safely transport the injured.  Yet no one uses it, opting for the three-guy shoulder shuffle.

A lot of times, bending your knee is super painful, which is exacerbated by sitting. Also there aren't many wheelchairs designed for people over 6 foot, making it even more awkward for the injured.

Hey some actual information after a couple of pages of the usual comedians talking about amputations.

The announcement was that he would miss the next two games and be reevaluated "late next week" which would be before Saturday's game at Dayton.

With the Christmas break coming up I am hoping that he will be ready to go for sure by December 31. That would be a lot better than feared.
