Watching the Broncos/Browns game tonight, talking to a friend about how the Broncos jerseys are nice, but the white helmets would look even better with the old Broncos logo.

Which then moves to my opinion that all of the major NFL redesigns are downgrades in retrospect.  New Broncos logo is a downgrade. Bucs colors and logo is a HUGE downgrade from the sherbet and knife biting mascot.  Screw NE, but Pat the Patriot was great and the new logo and colors are bleh.  I loved the old Seahawks logo and the blue/green theme.  Even the new Dolphins logo is a downgrade.

On the other hand, the Utah Hockey Club has some of the absolute worst, generic NPC 90s video game sweaters Ive ever seen.  I know its a transitional placeholder year but the WFT had gorgeous uniforms and style for their brief history.  Hilarious to watch them play some of the NHL teams with iconic classic logos with their nonsense.

What are people's favorite/hated logos/jerseys across professional sports?

Verypolitical Warrior

The broncos 90s to present kits had run their course, but the new design either looks like a college team or (tonights) like the chargers. While I'm partial to all 80s/90s designs, I think the Broncos modern logo has aged pretty well.

Chargers jerseys, either dark or baby blue, have been awesome for years.

Yankees. The embodiment of Classic.

Minnesota North Stars logo was great, as were their green jerseys.

Loved the Dr. J-era New York Nets unis.

My 4-year-old grandson looks adorable in his early-70s Vancouver Canucks jersey.

Hartford Whalers anything!

The Hippie Satan of Hyperbole

I think a lot of the 90s NFL logos look poor in retrospect because everyone, including pretty much every D2 and D3 college in the country, has copied the general look. But at the time, the Broncos, Dolphins, Patriots and Bucs new logos were well received. By the way, the dolphin wearing a helmet logo was iconic and should have never been changed.

I think the Bucs new color-scheme is good. The dreamsicle uniforms were emblematic of a crappy franchise that knew nothing but failure. The old logo with the new colors would be sweet.

I will say the franchise that is long due for a uniform make over is the Bengals. Those striped helmets are awful.

WhiteTrash

I like the old school look.

MLB: Yankees
NHL: Blackhawks*
NFL: GB/CHI/Chargers baby clues
NBA: Knicks/Celtics
* Overall best in sports

I always thought Oregon had the right idea. If you don't have an iconic logo attached with your history, then just be bold and brash about your uniforms.

I think the Brewers have shown that's a great route. Same with the Astros.

I think Denver had some helmets with the updated colors and old logo that looked great.

Love some chain-stitching on a jersey instead of just a patch.

BrewCity83

The old 1970s Atlanta Hawks light green with blue and white trim vertical swoosh

The early 2000s Miami Heat/Florida Floridians black with pink and orange vertical stripe

The 1970s Dr. J era New York Nets

The baseball Cardinals "St. Lou" retro unis

The light blue/maroon Philadelphia Phillies 1980s road uniforms

The Green Bay Packers classic 1960s both home and road

The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Jerseys without names on the back.  Play for the front of your jersey, not the back
Kam and the Warriors blowing it just like at Dayton. Bet your heads out of your asses.

Just curious, anyone else here a card-carrying Uni-Watch member?

Not a member, but I do read the columns frequently

I think they're just dated.  Kinda like most 20 year old guys in the gym aren't sporting barbed wire or tribal tattoos and listening to numetal on their CD walkmans.

I believe all branding peaked in the 90s.

Give me the 90s version of everything.  Pepsi, United, Taco Bell, Florida Marlins, Windows, Nerf, Miller Lite, etc.

Shout out to the companies that have gone back to their 90s logo.

I am in a very good place with the MU / Brewers / Bucks / Packers uni's.

Have not been able to say that since the '80's.  The Brewers and Bucks took some hideous turns.  I've never hated a MU kit, just like some versions much more.

Since TV matters more, than ever, I appreciate a good color game (Think Bama / Michigan) and hate when you have the chance for it and it's ruined by alternative jerseys.

The Bucks purple gear was pretty bad

This feels like someone engaging in nostalgia. Because I have no desire to go back to those 90s looks.

Yeah, I typed too fast, did not like the direction the Bucks and especially the Brewers went in the 90s and I was 16 in 1991 so you'd think I was a core target.

The Bucks went from some of the best uniforms in the NBA, with an iconic logo...to just a trashy purple thing when everyone was adapting purple as a color...to one of the best new logos in the game.

There is no coincidence the won championships with the original and the latest. The basketball gods were happy.

Bring back the 70s/80s Astros jerseys and the White Sox shorts.
