now the hurricanes...TA DA!!  global...earthquakes anyone?  my bowel movements changed...

yes, the climate changes day to day, year to year, and it sure did when the tyrannis saurus rex was king too and las time i checked, there weren't many pollution spewing smoke stacks, but those damn dinosaurs exhaled too much CO2...damn them

To be fair there have been a lot of advances in science since then that have made a lot of people turn into idiots.

In all honesty, calculators were more disruptive (negatively) to peoples math ability than AI will be for learning and knowledge. AI employed properly in learning/problem solving is more likely to enhance learning/problem solving than detract from it.
