You do realize that TKO was used against NCST, and the oblique injury was not a season ender, right?

Very firmly in that 15/16 spots with Indiana

We got 603 pts they got 600.

Creighton at 14 got 752 while Cincy at 17 got 454

I will never take the success Shaka has generated in a quick turnaround at MU for granted.  I'm not convinced this a top 15 team, but I'm thankful this is what MU teams look like after losing guys like TK and Oso.    What a great time to be a MU fan.

I'm not sure what to think yet. On the the hand, we did take care of business and beat the spread in both games, but the second we did were playing our best guys conference season type minutes. I guess George Mason is better than most buy games.

Hopefully it lasts as long as Shaka is involved with College Hoops.

Seems like the perfect marriage to this point...hopefully this is his forever home.

We also missed a billion open shots.

So theres an easy case to be made if we made shots for most of the game it looks a lot liek the first 3 minutes and the last 4 minutes and we blast George Mason consistently for 40 min

If Kam and to a lesser extent Jop can get help consistently from deep we will be a top 15ish team. If not trouble.

So I'm not convinced we are a top 15 but also not convinced we arent.

MU has been consistently ranked top 20 since the end of last season.  Shaka says 3 pt shooting is the most volatile offensive category.  And there is clearly room for growth.

I'm headed to the game tonight.  I didn't get a good look at the first two games other than what I followed online and the first half of game one, which I streamed.  I'm looking forward to observing in person what you can't pick up on a regular broadcast.  Hoping Benji has a big night and Stevie bounces back.  Any news on Owens yet?

Shouldn't get passed by anyone ranked behind us. I think we jump Arizona after their shellacking by the Badgers. The only other teams ahead of us that lost were Duke and Alabama and neither will fall far enough for us to jump them. Our win at Maryland is better than anything Houston, North Carolina, Tennessee, Baylor, or Creighton did this week, but they all beat their cupcakes convincingly. They are all also ranked higher than us on KenPom which a lot of the voters use.

I guess 13 passing Arizona and Creighton. Maybe we can pass Baylor too.

Ill say 14 only jumping Zona, but may move to 13.

Beat Purdue and Georgia next and that's when we can start talking a bigger move.

I think 14 is likely...but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't move up at all. Kentucky could pass us after a good win over duke. Arizona probably falls 6-7 spots.

I was teetering between 13th and 14th and went with 13th based upon a road win vs a solid team. Honest question-why do you think 12th?

I'll say we move up 1 spot to 14 and Purdue moves up to 8. After we beat them on Tuesday we will move up to the top 10. Wisconsin likely moves up to 22-23 range and holds that until we beat them in early December.

I don't think the win @Maryland does anything for ranking now but it could be the difference in a seed line come March for our resume.

Not directed at me but I thought about 12 as a possibility.  You could get there by passing Arizona, Creighton, and Baylor. Zona because they lost. Creighton because they werent that far ahead in votes and have only played cupcakes. Baylor is a stretch but I could see the win @Maryland making some voters reevaluate their ballots and moving us ahead of Baylor because we have a quality win and Baylor got the pants beaten off them in their only real game.
