Goal is National Championship

MU82

Tough to pass on the guy who went 27-10 and also put the game away down the stretch.

But Shaka couldn't get Kam off the floor - Kam was just too damn good, and he filled the box score.

I'd pick Kam, but I'd have absolutely no problem if it's Joplin.

Kam also had 8 dimes and 1 turn.  He could have easily had 12-15 dimes.  He was excellent from start to finish and Jop slammed the door.

Please explain your simple math from 8 to "12-15"?

I mean you met Muggs?? He historically says we should be up by like 10 more pts than we are every 1st half ha

That said he's not way off. Kam had a lot of realllllllly good passes that resulted in wide open 3s missed or stuffed at the rim or fouled no score. Coulda forsure had around 12.

I mean sure. But didn't. I'm not objecting to Kam as sotg.  Just that those other shots "should have been made". They weren't that close.

He created at least 8-10 additional wide open looks.  Knock them down.  Period.

I think the ref that got a steal on Chase deserves a shoutout at least

Co SOTG Kam Jones And David Joplin

Mutaman

With 15 minutes to go in the game GM was up 5 and had momentum. At that point Marquette scored 10 points in a row led by Joplin with 2 huge offensive rebounds and 2 3 pointers.

Joplin played with a ton of aggressiveness and confidence tonight.

Kam, honorable mention to Joplin.

Hobbes:  What's misunderstood about you?
Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

WarriorFan

It was bad Jop in the 1st half, driving into nowhere, and good Jop in the 2nd half.  Kam, however, played a complete game the whole game.

Jop needs to just catch and shoot.  Take $1000 off his NIL money every time he drives.  He'll learn.

Chase and Stevie had poor games.  I think they'll be fine.

Chase may have had a poor shooting game but 5 boards, 4 assists, and 5 steals were big time contributions.

Chase was quite good in the second half. Very important contributor to the victory.

Not sure what was wrong with Stevie.

Kam and the Warriors blowing it just like at Dayton. Bet your heads out of your asses.

TAMU, Knower of Ball

Jop. Double double in the second half alone. Led the way when it was winning time.  Kam obviously just as deserving.

Honorable mention to Ben. MU had two big runs, the one to start the game and the one to end it. Ben was part of the first and the second one started when he came back into the game. Obviously a lot of bad in between those two points. But it takes humility and resolve for a starter to get benched for 10 minutes by two freshmen and then come in and have the impact he did to end the game.

Kam was stud of the whole game, but Jop was the one who put the hammer down when it mattered. I'd lean Jop.

I was under the impression that stud of the game was for the whole game, not just part of it. I was further under the impression that the whole game mattered, not just part of it. Thanks for setting things straight!

In terms of consistency, Kam was good the whole game, but not only were Jop's highs higher but I felt he was the most impactful in terms of the final result. Happy to clear that up for you.
